Whitewater Recruitment is looking for an experienced Temporary 3rd Engineer to join a 90m+ motor yacht for an upcoming winter shipyard period in the Western Mediterranean.
We're looking for a hands-on engineer who is confident getting stuck into maintenance work and can work independently without needing constant supervision.
This will be a busy yard period, so practical engineering experience is essential. We're interested in someone who already knows their way around an engine room.
The Role:

Winter shipyard and maintenance period

Mid-November until just before Christmas, returning early January until approximately early March

Day rate negotiable, depending on experience

Shared cabin / shoreside accommodation provided

Return flights to a UK/EU destination provided for the Christmas break

Christmas break off contract, with the possibility of remaining onboard to work

Paid for days signed on, inclusive of leave
What We're Looking For:

Previous yacht engineering experience preferred

Strong practical maintenance and fault-finding skills

Confident working on pumps, motors, fans, purifiers and general engineering systems

Previous shipyard experience would be a big advantage

Relevant engineering qualifications but no ticket required.

Someone proactive, reliable and capable of working independently

This is a great opportunity for an experienced junior engineer looking for a few months of solid engineering work over the winter.
We're open to different engineering backgrounds, but you must have the practical experience to hit the ground running.
