Whitewater Recruitment are looking for a temporary 3rd Engineer to join a 60m+ motor yacht in the Med for an Atlantic crossing and short Caribbean programme.
This is a short-term contract starting late October / early November, joining in the South of France before crossing to the Caribbean. The contract is expected to run until early December, with potential for a few extra days depending on the programme.
The yacht is looking for someone practical, reliable and easy to work with. Commercial engineering backgrounds will be considered, provided candidates have the right attitude, good general engineering knowledge and understand the standards expected onboard a yacht. Previous yachting experience is preferred but not essential.
The role will be mainly watchkeeping and general engineering support during the crossing and arrival period. The vessel has a professional engineering setup, busy operational programme and good crew facilities onboard.
This could suit a junior engineer with a solid commercial background looking to gain more yacht experience, or a yacht engineer available for a short crossing contract.
