We are working with a 60m motoryacht currently in the South Pacific that is looking for a Sous Chef to join its close-knit crew.
• Start date: Beginning July
• Salary: Industry standard plus tips
• 42 days leave per year
• 13th-month bonus
• Culinary trained, with STCW, ENG1, and Food Hygiene certificate
• Schengen and B1/B2 visas required
• Yacht or restaurant experience required
• Mainly charter-focused program with a healthy, wellness-driven approach on board
• Currently in the South Pacific with a couple of owners and charters before starting a shipyard period. This will be a great opportunity to settle in and learn the galley before the next season ramps up
• Working alongside an experienced Head Chef in a 2-person galley team
• Responsible for cooking fantastic, varied crew meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a healthy and substantial focus, though the team enjoys the occasional cheat meal
• Assisting with owner meals when required
• Maintaining high standards of galley hygiene, stock rotation and dry store inventory
• Provisioning experience is a big plus, especially given the time spent in remote locations
• Looking for someone calm, friendly and full of initiative – this is a yacht with big personalities, so confidence and a good sense of humour go a long way
• Active, independent and well-travelled candidates will fit right in – the crew loves surfing, running, yoga, pilates and watersports
