We are looking for an experienced Sole Engineer to join a busy dual-season yacht currently in the South of France, coming to the end of a shipyard period.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident running the department independently, particularly during this busy technical period. The yacht has recently experienced delays due to shaft repairs and class involvement, so the right candidate will need to step in, take ownership, and bring stability ahead of the season.
The vessel runs with a crew of 5 and operates predominantly charter (approx. 75%), with a great program based in the South of France. Owners are very personable, and down-to-earth with crew.
Key Requirements:
- Sole Engineer experience or strong background in a similar setup
- Minimum AEC 1 & 2 (must be backed by solid experience)
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently
- Comfortable assisting on deck during season and driving tenders if required
- English first language preferred
Package:
- Salary: DOE and discussed at interview
- Charter tips
- 42 days leave (flexible, with potential for winter relief)
- Shared cabin (likely with male chef)
- Permanent position ideally (initially seasonal)
- Benetti Build
Start Date: ASAP
Great opportunity for a solid engineer to join a well-run program with supportive owners and a varied workload.
