We are looking for a rotational Second Engineer to join a professionally run 50m+ motor yacht with an active mixed private and charter programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-maintained yacht with a busy operational schedule, an upcoming yard period and a supportive engineering department. The role would suit a practical and hands-on engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and being involved in a wide variety of engineering projects.
The yacht places a strong emphasis on attitude, professionalism and team fit. Previous yachting experience is welcomed, however candidates from commercial shipping, cruise ships or other marine engineering backgrounds will also be considered. The Chief Engineer is open to developing the right candidate provided they demonstrate the right mindset and willingness to learn.
The engineering department consists of a Chief Engineer and Second Engineer, supported by contractors and dayworkers during yard periods when required. The yacht operates to a high standard with consistent maintenance investment and several upgrade projects planned over the coming year.
This role offers excellent long-term stability, funded training opportunities and the chance to join a programme where crew retention is valued.
